June 9, 2013 John Kasich means Ohio jobs
Republican
leadership in Ohio is working. Week after week, Ohio businesses are announcing
new good paying jobs that will help Ohio's families. Governor John Kasich's
pro-growth policies are paving the way. He also knows that we still have a long
way to go, which is why Governor Kasich is committed to making sure Ohio
workers have the training they need to succeed. Click here for more on the
Governor's commitment to job training. You can also view Governor Kasich's recent
remarks about new jobs in Wilmington here.
Ohio has come a long way
since the Republican ticket was elected in 2010 to clean up after Ted
Strickland and the Democrats, who did nothing and watched as more than 400,000
jobs left our state. By balancing budgets, cutting taxes, and streamlining
regulations, Republican leaders like Governor Kasich, Speaker Batchelder, and
Senate President Faber have been getting the government out of the way to help
Ohio families and businesses prosper.
Lt. Gov. Taylor protecting
Ohioans from Obama's failures
 Lt.
Governor Mary Taylor is continuing to work to show how Ohioans can protect
themselves from President Obama's disastrous health care law. Be sure to read and share Lt.
Governor Taylor's analysis here.
Obamacare, which Republicans
have worked hard for years to repeal, is taking effect now. It shifts costs
from the federal government to the states, adds mandates to already burdened
state programs,
and raises taxes. The new report shows what we already knew: health care costs
will rise because of Obamacare, not come down as the President promised.
Speaker Boehner leads Ohio
Republicans fighting for jobs and accountability
Meanwhile, President Obama
and U.S. Senate Democrats in Washington, D.C. continue to demonstrate their
incompetence and dishonesty. President Obama's Administration is exposed more
every day. Spying on private phone records and the media, harassing
conservative civic groups with burdensome federal bureaucracies, and other
scandals continue to show that the President and his allies are dedicated to
playing politics above all else.
Thankfully, Ohio Republican
leaders are working hard at home and in Washington to get results for Ohio's
hardworking families. Speaker John Boehner and House Republicans are keeping up
the pressure on Obama and the Democrats to come clean on their scandals and
focus on creating jobs. Speaker Boehner lays out House
Republican plans to create jobs and hold Obama and the Democrats accountable
here.

Ohio
congressional Republicans are working alongside Speaker Boehner for jobs and
accountability. Congressmen Steve Chabot, Bob Gibbs, and Jim Renacci are demanding answers from the
Administration regarding the EPA's bias against conservative civic groups. Read the latest on their efforts
from The Plain Dealer.

Senator
Rob Portman and Congressman Bill Johnson recently commemorated the anniversary
of the World War Two Allied invasion of Normandy on June 6th, 1944. In
commemorating the sacrifices of brave American troops and their allies, we
remember the enormous human cost of liberating oppressed nations from tyranny.
Senator Rob Portman and
Congressman Bill Johnson are working to commemorate this historic endeavor on
the World War II Memorial with the words that President Roosevelt prayed with
the nation on D-Day. You may read more about their
laudable efforts here from Senator Portman's office.
Josh Mandel investing Ohio
dollars wisely

Treasurer
Josh Mandel's stewardship of Ohio's finances continues to be effective.
Recently, he has been working hard to spread the word about the STAR Plus
investment program. Read about his recent visit to Washington Court House to discuss a local library's
investment in the fund here.
Future of the Ohio GOP
As
your Chairman I am proud to work alongside you to support our Republican
leaders. Since taking office as Chairman, I have been meeting with grassroots
Republican leaders across the state, from Lake Erie to the Ohio River. Just in
the last week, I've met with spirited Republican groups in Marion, Toledo,
and Butler County, and we held a grassroots conference call with leaders from
all over the state.
This
coming week I'll be in Strongsville, Cincinnati, Springfield, Athens, and
Cleveland. I appreciate the feedback I get from all of these meetings, and I
look forward to having more discussions with GOP leadership in the days to
come.
One
thing is clear: Ohio is better off with our dedicated Republican
leadership team, and we can look forward to all the hard work ahead to help
continue Ohio's successes.
On June 29th we will be
holding our annual State Dinner at the new Downtown Hilton in Columbus. We will
be honored to have New Mexico Governor Susana
Martinez as our dynamic keynote speaker. Please keep an eye on your inbox
for forthcoming details regarding program and registration for this important
State Party event.
Sincerely,
Matt Borges
